Hello and welcome,
I am Amanda Ball, MS. I was born and raised in Massachusetts, New England and I recently moved to Northern California to work with Karla McLaren, an award-winning author, social science researcher, and empathy pioneer. For the past three years, we have been developing a self-care and licensing program based on Karla's lifelong work with emotions and empathy called Dynamic Emotional Integration® also known as DEI.
DEI was created from the work in Karla's books: The Language of Emotions and The Art of Empathy. I am a lead instructor of DEI and double licensed as a DEI Trainer and DEI Consultant. I am also the administrator of Emotion Dynamics LLC, and I work alongside Karla in developing curriculum and programs on emotions and empathy.
My professional background is in nonprofit volunteer management, adoption and foster care recruitment, and community disaster-response implementation. I have also worked as a high school mental health counselor and have taught numerous programs on social and emotional awareness to high school students.
My professional interests include emotions & empathy, addiction & distractions, social justice, neurodiversity, trauma healing, and gender & sexuality.
